DETAILED DESCRIPTION:
This 1954 Canadian prooflike set is housed in its original vintage cardboard holder, a classic piece of numismatic history. Although originally issued as a prooflike set, the coins in this particular example have been circulated and show visible signs of wear.
The set includes all six denominations issued that year: the 1 cent, 5 cents, 10 cents, 25 cents, 50 cents, and 1 dollar coins. The silver coins (10¢ to $1) are composed of 80% silver and 20% copper. Each coin features the young effigy of Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse.
The cardboard holder is intact but shows its age with discoloration and edge wear. This set is perfect for collectors who appreciate vintage presentation and historic Canadian coinage, even in circulated condition.
