This is a stunning and genuinely scarce 1883 Philippine 50 Centavos de Peso silver coin in Extremely Fine (XF) condition — a 142-year-old colonial silver piece struck under the authority of King Alfonso XII of Spain, when the Philippines was still a Spanish colony more than a decade before American acquisition following the Spanish-American War of 1898.

Struck in Manila at the Casa de Moneda (Philippine Mint), this large silver coin bears the young portrait of King Alfonso XII on the obverse — the restored Bourbon monarch who reigned from 1874 until his death in 1885, making the 1883 issue a mid-reign piece under one of Spain's most historically significant 19th-century rulers.
