DETAILED DESCRIPTION:
This 2001 Canadian 5 cent coin features the classic beaver design on the reverse, one of Canada's most recognizable coin designs created by G.E. Kruger-Gray. The beaver has been used on Canadian nickels since 1937 and remains a symbol strongly associated with Canadian heritage.
The obverse features the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II. Coins from this period were struck using nickel-plated steel, giving them a bright metallic appearance while reducing production costs.
The coin shows normal circulation wear consistent with everyday use. Major design details remain visible and the coin would make a nice addition to a Canadian coin collection or date set.
