DETAILED DESCRIPTION:
This official 2024 Royal Canadian Mint Special Wrap Roll contains 25 uncirculated $1 circulation coins commemorating the 150th anniversary of the birth of L. M. Montgomery, the beloved Canadian author best known as the creator of Anne of Green Gables.
Each coin features a selectively colourized reverse design inspired by Montgomery's literary world and the Prince Edward Island landscapes that influenced her writing. The obverse features the effigy of His Majesty King Charles III, making this a notable early commemorative issue featuring Canada's new monarch.
The 25 coins are housed together in the original custom Special Wrap packaging. According to the Royal Canadian Mint, the Special Wrap Roll is the official way to obtain the colourized version of this commemorative $1 coin directly from the Mint, and all coins inside are uncirculated.
