Obverse: Features the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Arnold Machin.
Reverse: Designed by Elliot James Morrison, depicting the historic locomotive arriving in Vancouver with mountains in the background and a detailed railway track in the foreground.

Limited mintage of approximately 650,000 proof coins issued.
Finish: Proof (frosted relief with mirror background).
Edge: Reeded.
Composition: 50% Silver / 50% Copper.
