Issued by the Royal Canadian Mint to mark the 50th anniversary of the United Nations and to honour Canada's proud and longstanding tradition of international peacekeeping, this special loonie replaces the iconic common loon with a striking commemorative reverse design depicting the Peacekeeping Monument located in Ottawa, Ontario.
