This is a 2003 "Polar Bear" colourized Canadian 25-cent coin in Brilliant Uncirculated condition — one of the most beloved and visually striking issues from the Royal Canadian Mint's early colourized quarter series, featuring two of Canada's most iconic national symbols together on a single coin.
Part of the RCM's pioneering colourized circulation coin program — among the first in the world to apply vibrant colour directly to coin surfaces — the 2003 Polar Bear quarter showcases a magnificent white polar bear set against a rich red maple leaf background, rendered with vivid colour application that immediately captures the eye. The polar bear, Canada's largest land predator and a symbol of the Arctic wilderness, is depicted in stunning detail against the brilliant crimson of the maple leaf — creating one of the most visually arresting colour coin designs the RCM has ever produced.
