The 1934 Canadian nickel shows moderate circulation wear typical of Depression-era coinage. King George V’s portrait is softened on the cheek and hairline, while the beaded rim is flattened. The reverse maple leaves display worn lobes, but the central veins remain visible. Light gray toning blankets the fields, imparting an attractive patina. The date “1934,” “CANADA,” and “5 CENTS” remain fully legible. A few contact marks appear on the obverse, though they do not detract significantly. This coin is a fine representation of Canada’s mid-1930s nickel issue.
